Master of technology

M.Tech. (Information Technology) - Stands for Master of Technology in Information Technology. Typically, a Master of Technology(IT) is a two year course, minimum eligibility for which is a B.Tech (IT) or any equivalent degree with information technology as a subject. Information Technology is the study, design, development, implementation, support and management of computer-based information systems. It particularly deals with software applications and computer hardware. Students under this course concentrate on both software and hardware areas.

Basic Eligibility
The eligibility criteria for pursuing a master's degree are holding a bachelor's degree in (B.E/B.Tech) or any other equivalent branches of engineering. The duration for this course is 2 years.
Master of Technology (M Tech) is a two-year postgraduate program, which is pursued after the completion of B Tech. M Tech is usually a 2-year specialization program in a specific branch of engineering. Students enter the MTech programs after completing a 4-year undergraduate program in engineering or a 5-year program in Science or Applied Sciences.
MTech programs in India are generally aimed at producing Research Engineers who can get the position of "Technologist" as well in the Industries and Research Institutes. Here are colleges that offer Master of Technology (M Tech) program/course in India.
